What to expect at the Museum of Ice Cream this August

Get ready to go on a sugar high at the Museum of Ice Cream this August – an immersive wonderland dedicated to all things ice cream. Hailing from New York, this icy attraction has been hot property, with sold out tickets and a growing waitlist of 200,000. Personalities like David Beckham, Ryan Reynolds, Blake Lively and Katy Perry have all paid a visit.

Come August, the Museum of Ice Cream will finally arrive on our sunny shores and once its doors open, Singapore will boast the first MOIC outside of the US.

This Instagrammable experiential pop-up museum is situated in Dempsey, spreading across 60,000 sq ft in area. With 14 multi-sensory installations, it is designed to immerse the senses in all things ice cream. The Dempsey site that hosts the museum will also include the iconic Dragon Playground – the perfect place for kids to explore if they haven’t been to the original one at Toa Payoh.

Apart from the Dragon Playground, the installations will also include a pink and yellow Banana Jungle, and the largest MOIC Sprinkle Pool ever created – sounds like the kind of place Willy Wonka might own.

In line with the nation’s safe distancing measures, the interactive installations and Sprinkle Pool will be disinfected regularly and have a maximum capacity of 200 persons at each given time.

After all the fun, you can head over to the cafe, bar and retail store where you can lay hands on the limited edition MOIC merchandise, enjoy scoops of premium ice cream and wind down at the bar with light bites and specialty milkshakes. Ice cream flavours include Lychee Bandung, Taro Milk Tea, Chendol and more.

Tickets to the Museum of Ice Cream are priced from $38 per person and are available for purchase through the museum’s website. The museum will open from 10am – 11pm all week, except for Tuesdays.
