One of the best parts about the Ramadan season are the lively bazaars and there is none more popular than the epic Geylang Serai Ramadan Bazaar, which attracts Singaporeans from all across the island for spectacular shopping and delicious food.
For the second year in a row, the annual Geylang Serai bazaar will not be happening but organisers Wisma Geylang Serai, together with the Singapore Malay Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SMCCI) has launched Bazaar Kita, an online portal to take the Ramadan festivities virtual. You’ll be able to shop in the comfort of your home, order delectable meals to be delivered to your doorstep and even watch exciting live performances.
Here are 5 activities to keep up the joyful celebrations this Hari Raya.
1. Shop till you drop with their Online Retail Portal
From clothes to household products, have your daily and festive goods delivered to your doorstep using their Shopee site. Their portal features an array of local retailers selling beautiful fabrics and halal-certified beauty products.
They also feature repurposed clothing from companies such as RE:VIVE for the more environmentally conscious shopper. During this Hari Raya season, they are offering a 50% discount when you use the code: ReviveRaya21 on their website.
2. Ramadan Shopping Delivered to Your Doorstep
You can now save yourself the hassle of jostling with last minute shoppers and have your groceries delivered right to your home instead. Bazaar Kita has partnered with GrabMart to deliver household essentials from all over Singapore.
And if you’re craving a hot meal, check out Bungkus! With over 30 of your favourite Halal certified merchants such as Ooh MALA SG and AnnaBella Patisserie, you can get all your favourite dishes at a click of a button.
You can also find a wide array of F&B retailers on their Shoppe microsite selling delicious snacks and drinks such as Kuih Raya and nutella tarts.
3. Catch Performances All Week
Get into the festive mood with live cooking videos by self-made chefs and music from local performers! They have programmes that range from light-hearted comedies to soulful love songs. Catch their programme on the Wisma Geylang Serai’s Facebook page, TikTok Live and Youtube Channels every Monday at 10AM, and Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday at 4PM.
4. Giving Back to the Community
Give back to charity with Rahmatan Lil Alamin Foundation’s Blessings to All Project, an initiative that was organised alongside SMCCI, amongst other partners. The campaign intends to raise $300,000 to provide meals for families-in-need and migrant workers in selected dormitories.
They are currently at $65,090 and will stop accepting donations by 14 May. Their donation scheme is staggered into five layers: $10, $50, $100, $200, and custom amounts.

5. Stand a Chance to Win a 50-inch 4K Smart TV
Wisma Geylang Serai’s LapLipRumahKu competition has returned with their grand prize – a 50-inch 4K Smart TV that would definitely liven up family movie nights!
The second and third prizes consist of a 64GB IPad Air and a Mayer Airfryer respectively. To participate, decorate your house with the ‘lampu lap-lip’ (fairy lights) and pose for a video with you and your family under the lights.
