This is one thing you might want to check out over the weekend with the family – Rainforest Lumina returns for its final season at the Singapore Zoo from now till 13 February 2022, with improved zones and upgraded content.
If you’re not familiar with this annual showcase that began in 2019, Rainforest Lumina is basically a one kilometre walk through the tropical rainforest, complete with light display and interactive stations.
It’s quite a multi-sensory experience, just take a look at these photos.
This year, there is a digital thunderstorm conducted by Bob the playful otter (note – not an actual otter), on top of dazzling laser displays on the Luminous Pathway, and thousands of sparkling pixel lights at the Shimmering Islands.
Beneath all the razzle dazzle lies a meaningful message – that nature and mankind are intrinsically connected. This comes through in all the different interactive experiences, and culminates in the lazer and projection display “We are One” that concludes the approximately hour-long journey.
Family day out pro tip: Purchase tickets for the day parks – Jurong Bird Park, River Safari or Singapore Zoo — and top up just $10 per ticket for the Rainforest Lumina tickets. Alternatively, purchase the Night Safari Plus bundle which to entitles you to visit both Night Safari and Rainforest Lumina on the same day for a complete Mandai night experience.
