Fun just got quadruple-sized at East Coast Park.
Standing as the tallest outdoor play area in Singapore, Coastal PlayGrove now occupies what was once Big Splash after three years of renovation. At 16 metres, its Play Tower is the same height as a six-storey HDB, and boasts a four-storey tall slide.
Spanning a vast 4.5 hectares in size, it’s every kid’s dream come true with a massive playground of slides, water, sand, swings and rope structures to conquer.
Vertical Climbing Tower and Giant Slides
Thrill seekers would love scaling the four-storey Vertical Challenge fitted with a massive spider web of ropes and obstacles. Each floor is connected through the central column, and wide cargo nets at each level allow the brave to hang out high above the ground. For those who prefer to hike, gentle ramps at the side allow you to easily reach the top.
Once you’ve made it to the top of the play tower, getting back down will be much quicker thanks to the giant slides. At 7.3m and 11.9m, these are some of the tallest slides in Singapore. The taller slide even makes a twirl as you race towards the ground.

Leisure Nets
Should the facilities on the vertical tower prove a little too exciting, there’s also the low lying Leisure Nets which are much more down to earth. This is a small rope climbing course that’s great for the younger kids to explore.
Recommended for kids aged five to 12
Nature Playgarden
Bring your little ones for a lush getaway at the park’s Nature Playgarden. Here, you’ll find mini log bridges, teepee huts and plenty of interesting plants. There’s also a “hidden” bamboo tunnel, reminiscent of Japan’s famous bamboo groves. If you’re looking for a place to snap a photo while you’re here, this’ll hit the spot!
Sand Pit
The massive Sand Pit here is bigger than your average neighbourhood grass patches, and there’s plenty of sand here to fuel your childrens’ architectural imagination. The place is surrounded by tall trees too, so parents are free to rest in the shade while your kids play in the sand.
Water Play Area
After a day of excitement, let the kids cool off at the Water Play Area. There are two streams leading to shallow wading pools for the children to soak their feet in. But fair warning – watch out for the occasional spray of water from the water jets unless you’re looking to get soaked!
There’s a bathroom nearby for drying off, but if you’re looking for a shower, head over to the nearby toilets at Areas A1, B1, and C1 to wash up.
Outdoor Classroom by the Sea
Looking at pictures online can’t quite replicate the feeling of holding a leaf in your hand. Pull your kids’ eyes away from the devices with greenery and immerse in nature the good old-fashioned way at the Outdoor Classroom by the Sea. The sea view is a big bonus to the log stools and the chalkboard, too!
Dining Spaces
After you’re worn tired and hungry, head over to Food Splash and its mix of cuisines! From PrataWala Signature and Kimchi Box to Burger King and OldTown White Coffee, there’s a bite for everyone’s taste buds.
